The exhibition entitled: DEVELOPMENT - between genes and memes - will consider cultural conditions for creating of artistic concepts. It will be a reflection on the possible scenarios for development of culture and technology of thinking.

The aim of the exhibition is a reflection on interdependence in the creation of information models as well as in the process of fertilization of culture which exists in the sphere of art.
Spiż 7 Gallery will be a place of meeting and interaction for artists from different countries, who in their work take up the issues of concept evolution and intermediality as well as reflection on how we think about art. Visual artists, performers and improvising musicians have been invited to participate.

What is the essence of development then? Is it - as social sciences postulate - a process aimed at continuous growth of changes which are beneficial to the community, or rather - as biological sciences and genetics claim - a process that is more like building a house and demolishing it at the same time?
What is the development in the arts? What determines the choice of ways of thinking ... Are we dealing with a kind of natural selection in the world of art concepts?

What are, in fact, these concepts of art and artistry, and what role do they play in today's world? Do the interpretive methodologies of different disciplines have some use in this area? Are there in the art world any selection mechanisms similar to permutations in the area of ?? genetics, or do we rather deal with mental abstract of cultural environment? What kind of autonomy does the individual's emancipated psyche retain in this context? Do we see the possibility of the emergence of a new environment for the development of art forms and ways of thinking about art?

The exhibition is realized in the framework of artistic research project entitled Virtual , which is to consider the possibilities of creating a new cultural environment with particular emphasis on modern technologies and concepts of psychology.

Wystawa pt: ROZWÓJ - między genami a memami - podejmie kwestię kulturowych uwarunkowań dla tworzenia koncepcji artystycznych. Będzie refleksją na temat możliwych scenariuszy rozwoju kultury oraz technologii myślenia .
Celem wystawy jest namysł nad wzajemnymi uwarunkowaniami w procesie tworzenia wzorców informacji jak i w procesie zapładniania kultury jaki zachodzi w sferze sztuki.

Galeria - pracownia Spiż 7 będzie miejscem spotkania i interakcji artystów z różnych krajów, którzy w swej twórczości podejmują zagadnienia ewolucji pojęć i intermedialności oraz refleksję nad tym jak myślimy o sztuce. Do udziału zaproszeni zostali artyści wizualni, performerzy jak też improwizujący muzycy.
Co zatem jest istotą rozwoju? Czy jest to - jak postulują nauki społeczne - proces ukierunkowany na ciągły wzrost korzystnych dla zbiorowości zmian czy też raczej - jak sugerują nauki biologiczne i genetyka - proces, który przypomina raczej budowę domu z jego jednoczesną rozbiórką?

Czym jest rozwój w sztuce? Co decyduje o wyborze sposobów myślenia.Czy mamy do czynienia ze swoistym doborem naturalnym w świecie koncepcji artystycznych?
Czym są w rzeczywistości owe koncepcje sztuki i artyzmu i jaką rolę pełnią w świecie współczesnym? Czy metodologie interpretacyjne różnych dziedzin nauki mają w tym obszarze jakieś zastosowanie? Czy w świecie sztuki funkcjonują mechanizmy selekcji na wzór permutacji w obszarze genetyki czy mamy raczej do czynienia z mentalnym abstraktem kulturowego środowiska?

Jaką w tym kontekście autonomię zachowuje wyemancypowane psyche jednostek? Czy widzimy możliwość wyłonienia się obecnie jakiegoś nowego środowiska dla rozwoju form sztuki i sposobów myślenia o sztuce?

Wystawa realizowana jest w ramach projektu artystyczno-badawczego, pt: Virtual , w obszarze którego prowadzone jest rozważanie nad możliwościami tworzenia nowego środowiska kulturowego ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem współczesnych technologii i koncepcji psychologicznych.
